Women of Windward (WOW).
In 1996, two ladies, Gail Castaldi and Judy Wheeler, realized they had a shared vision for a new women's group for Windward. As empty nesters, they envisioned a group whose activities would not be scheduled around the school calendar. By year’s end a group of eight dedicated ladies held WOW’s first organizational meeting, enlisted 94 members, and established the group’s purpose.

WOW is organized to plan and hold a variety of cultural and social activities without time constraints for women approaching the age of fifty and older. Goals are strictly social. Policy prohibits sponsorship or support for profit-making organizations and political groups, leaving community service activities and fund-raising to other organizations. Other than living in Windward and contributing $5 annually to receive evite-emails announcing special activities WOW has no regulations.

WOW has many fun-filled activities which vary from tours of local sites of interest to social coffees, teas, mixers and such. Monthly programs include a book club, a knitting club, women’s bridge, couples party bridge, bowling, canasta and bunko.

If you are a woman age 50 or over and are looking for an opportunity to meet other Windward women, we invite you to join us for social fellowship and good will. It is easy to join, Contact one of the following WOW members for more information:
